Intuit Mailchimp

My clients and I find Mailchimp list management to be non-intuitive. When you upload a "list" for a specific campaign, you don't realize you are duplicating contacts in Mailchimp. If you have "[email protected]" already in your Mailchimp because you sent her something two months ago, and now you decide to send her a new email along with others, so you upload your "campaign list" with her email in it, you will now have two contact records for [email protected]. Confusing to say the least.

I've been using MailChimp for the better part of ten years? It's been a long time. I initially started using it because it was free but quickly signed up for a paid account to be able to send more emails and maintain a larger list. I also use MC for email marketing for my clients. It's one of the best tools to send out mass emails to your list, and doesn't restrict being able to import a large list quickly. I also like that it ties in nicely with WordPress websites in giving us the ability to capture subscribers easily. All in all a great product. I'll continue using it for a long time.

With a very powerful API and a fantastic design platform, Mailchimp is my main choice for sending out newsletters. I have adapted it in multiple systems, some with over 500k subscribers, and Mailchimp is the only platform that was able to serve this type of audience within a reasonable time difference, while other platforms out there might need a full day to process such request. If you are planning to grow your audience, don't get stuck with something that won't scale. Mailchimp is the way to go.

Mailchimp have a solid platform that solves your basic problems with mailing, integrated partners, mailing customization and a great server that make your personal mails look bad. For advance techniques in mailing it's a little harder to use, and i prefer to use another solution focused on my problem. Overall it´s a great tool for short/mid mailing lists.

Pros: Easy to integrate, easy to build templates

Cons: It's limited to email pretty much and it's hard to get the analytics out
