PLC & HMI Programming for Water Treatment Plant

Budget on requestBudget band
Ladder Logic, Studio 5000, Allen-Bradley CompactLogix
Energy & Utilities

We are commissioning a new, greenfield water treatment plant and need an experienced industrial automation partner to write the PLC and HMI control programme from scratch. There is no existing Studio 5000 code to build on. Reference code from a different PLC platform is available for reference only. Hydraulic valves are part of the plant's control scope. Site commissioning is handled by our own team; this engagement covers programming only, fully remote. Scope of Work: - Programme an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC in Studio 5000, from scratch - Programme the operator HMI for the plant - Interpret I/O, piping, and instrumentation from electrical schematics and the P&ID, and translate them into control logic - Write the programme primarily in ladder logic (about 99%); use structured text only for complex mathematical routines - Route process questions to our process engineers and programming questions to our lead controls engineer, without stalling progress - Deliver clean, well-commented, well-structured code that our team can maintain after handover - Prioritize core plant control first; lower-priority analytics/reporting features can follow What We're Providing: Electrical schematics, a P&ID, and a light functional description of intended plant operation. We will not provide a detailed line-by-line specification or cause-and-effect matrix upfront. We need a partner who can work from drawings and a light brief, ask targeted questions, and start coding without waiting for a full specification. Coding Standard: The delivered programme must be predominantly ladder logic that our engineers can debug and maintain long-term. We will not accept a programme written mostly in structured text, including AI-generated structured text.

Hello, We are currently preparing to launch AlphaNex Exchange, a new cryptocurrency trading platform backed by significant investment and a clear long-term vision. The initial platform will focus on the core infrastructure of a professional CEX, including: -Spot trading and order execution -User registration, accounts, and portfolio management -Secure wallet and fund custody infrastructure -Deposits and withdrawals -KYC/AML and compliance integrations -Real-time market data and trading APIs -Admin, risk-management, and operational tools We are not simply looking for developers to implement a specification. We are looking for an experienced technical partner who can help shape the architecture, challenge our assumptions, and take responsibility for building a production-ready exchange. Our investor/CEO is committing substantial capital to the project and is pushing for an accelerated development timeline. We therefore place a strong emphasis on technical experience, execution speed, security, scalability, and long-term partnership. If your team has previously built or contributed to a CEX, trading engine, custody infrastructure, wallet system, or other production-grade Web3/fintech platform, we'd be very interested in learning more about your experience. If there is a potential fit, we'd be happy to share additional details about AlphaNex, our current MVP/codebase, planned scope, and development strategy. If you've built an exchange before, we'd particularly like to hear what you learned from that experience and what you would do differently when building AlphaNex. Looking forward to connecting. Best regards, AlphaNex Exchange Team

ERP/CRM bookingpatform for studentchauffeur.nl (private driver company)

$10K – $250K USDBudget band
Supply Chain & Logistics

Request for Proposal Development of ERP & Booking Platform for Studentchauffeur.nl 1. About Studentchauffeur.nl Studentchauffeur.nl is a Dutch staffing company employing approximately 200 student drivers. Clients engage our drivers to drive vehicles provided by the client for business travel, convenience, designated driving, temporary mobility limitations and vehicle relocation. Bookings are received through phone, email, WhatsApp and our website. A suitable driver is assigned based on factors such as availability, location and experience. Drivers travel independently to the client, perform the assignment, register their hours and expenses, and return independently. These records form the basis for customer invoicing and driver payroll. Studentchauffeur.nl provides drivers as a staffing service. Vehicles are provided by the client; we do not operate as a taxi company. 2. Project Studentchauffeur.nl is replacing its current internal systems with a new integrated ERP and booking platform supporting the complete operational workflow: Quotation → Booking → Planning → Execution → Time Registration → Invoicing & Payroll The platform will serve three primary user groups: Backoffice, Clients and Drivers. It will consist of a responsive backoffice web application and web/mobile applications for clients and drivers. The current estimated scope consists of: Approximately 25 core functional modules Approximately 150–250 screens Approximately 300–500 user stories The functional design has already been prepared. Detailed UI designs are available in Figma, including a design system, reusable components and design tokens. User stories are documented in Jira. Functional areas include quotations, customers, bookings, planning, driver availability, ride management, vehicle relocation, time and expense registration, invoicing, payroll, dashboards, reporting, incident management, users and roles, communication, notifications and integrations. Expected integrations include Google Maps, Mollie and Exact Online. The platform must support Dutch and English and comply with applicable Dutch and European legislation, including GDPR. 3. Development Partner We are looking for an experienced software development partner to take responsibility for the technical design, development, testing, deployment and continued development of the platform. We are not looking for a team that simply converts Figma designs into code. We expect the development partner to actively review requirements, identify gaps or inconsistencies, ask questions where workflows are unclear, propose technical solutions and take responsibility for the technical quality and maintainability of the platform. There is no internal development team contributing to implementation. A technical advisor is available for consultation and technical review. There is no predefined technology stack. We expect the development partner to propose and justify an architecture that is secure, scalable and maintainable. 4. Ownership and Project Setup Studentchauffeur.nl must retain ownership and administrative access to all project assets throughout development. Development should take place within systems, accounts and environments owned or controlled by Studentchauffeur.nl wherever reasonably possible. This includes source code repositories, cloud infrastructure, databases, CI/CD, documentation, project tracking and relevant third-party accounts. Documentation should be maintained throughout development. Studentchauffeur.nl should not depend on the supplier to access or continue development of its own platform. Any proposed proprietary technologies, supplier-controlled dependencies or potential vendor lock-in should be clearly identified. 5. Proposal Requirements Please structure your proposal around the following topics: 1. Relevant Experience Describe one or more projects of comparable size and complexity, including scope, your role, technology stack, team composition and project duration. References or case studies are appreciated. 2. Technical Approach Describe your proposed architecture and technology stack, including frontend, mobile applications, backend, database, hosting, authentication, API architecture, security and key infrastructure choices. Explain the reasoning behind your main technical decisions. 3. Delivery Approach Explain how you manage projects of this scale, including sprint planning, requirements refinement, project tracking, progress reporting, reviews, acceptance and communication with the client. 4. Development & Quality Assurance Describe your approach to code reviews, automated and manual testing, CI/CD, environments, deployments, monitoring and release management. 5. Team Describe the proposed team, including roles, seniority, expected capacity and location. Please also specify the approximate size of your company, whether subcontractors will be used and how continuity is maintained if key team members become unavailable. 6. Design Implementation Explain how you translate an existing Figma design system into a maintainable component library and ensure consistency across web and mobile development. 7. Timeline Our target is to have the platform operational in early 2027. Provide a high-level project plan with key phases, milestones, expected duration and team allocation. Please highlight major assumptions or risks affecting the timeline. 8. Commercial Proposal Please specify: Fixed Price, Time & Materials or hybrid Hourly or daily rates per role Estimated effort and total project cost Main assumptions What is included and explicitly excluded Third-party costs and licences How changes in scope are handled 9. Maintenance & Continued Development Describe your approach to post-launch support, maintenance, security updates, incident response and continued feature development, including the proposed commercial model. 6. Selection Proposals will be evaluated based on relevant experience, technical approach, proposed team, delivery methodology, quality assurance, timeline, commercial transparency and suitability as a long-term development partner. Shortlisted suppliers may be invited to discuss their proposal and walk us through a previously developed platform of comparable complexity. We may also request customer references. Our objective is to select a reliable long-term development partner that can build the initial platform and continue to maintain and develop it after go-live.
