As a founder of BloggingFire.com, I state that Ahrefs is best for reviewing competitors backlinks because they have the biggest backlink database.

This advanced tool in standard subscription covers most of my needs regarding everyday SEO work. The very intuitive dashboard reveals an overview report which provides basic information about how the domain performs both in organic and paid results and about the website’s backlink profile. You can easily go deeper by using the Site explorer section in the menu or left sidebar with hyperlinks to backlinks list, anchors, referring IPs or information about organic results. But it's only a small part of what Ahrefs could give you. I used to use the Content explorer section to search for new backlinks opportunities and keyword explorer to find new keyword ideas for my company - Insightland.org business. But one of the most important advantages of Ahrefs is a rank tracker section which provides a lot of information about keywords position, search volume, estimated traffic and much more! That makes it a great replacement for a dedicated keyword position checker tool. That's why I want to give Ahrefs strong 5 star!

For my company's - Nigel Wright Group SEO purpose, I use Ahrefs. I particularly like the 'Keywords explorer' tool which provides a 'keyword difficulty' for any given keyword in each country, giving an estimate of how many backlinks are required to rank in the top 10. The explorer also provides a list of keywords which have the same terms as your chosen keyword, providing other opportunities to target.

The organic keywords 'movements' tracker is also particularly useful for keeping an eye on how certain changes have affected your keyword rankings.

The backlinks tool makes it easy to keep abreast of new, lost and broken backlinks, resulting in new opportunities being identified and being able to keep track of how our backlink outreach is progressing.

One feature that I feel is missing from Ahrefs is a local SEO tool. There currently isn’t anyway to keep track of your ranking in Google’s local listings.

Ahrefs is great! They have a plethora of tools on the platform and can track so many different metrics. At Imaginaire Digital, we found that one of the best tools that Ahrefs has developed is the backlink profile of a domain. They offer a domain rating and URL rating to show the authority of a domain and each page. It features a very intuitive UI so it's pretty easy to get around and you'll pick it up quite quickly. The only downside is that it's costly. The cheapest plan is $99 (or £81.47) and this only gives you basic access to tools.

Ahrefs crawls 5 billion pages and indexes 16 trillion known links and 170 million root domains every single day! The data is highly accurate and detailed; it will give you insight into the many facets of your SEO strategy and help you to improve your website very quickly. This all-in-one suite of SEO tools gives you access to web monitoring, rank tracking, content and keyword analysis, and backlink, keyword and content research. It allows you to monitor your strategic niche, grow your search traffic and take advantage of competitor research and analysis. The Site Audit tool performs an SEO audit on your website, highlighting what parts of your website require improvements to help ensure your best ranking. The Domain Comparison tool lets you add up to 4 of your competitors to compare which helps you find sites which have backlinked to your competitors but not you, which provides great link opportunities. Finally, the Positions Explorer Tool allows you to dig deep inside your competitor’s search traffic, you can even see the keywords that the competition is ranking for in the SERPS!

Ahrefs is a bit like the Swiss Army Knife of SEO tools. At Vuly Play, it gives us the ability to check our site and competitor backlinks is extremely useful, as to is its ability to determine our top organic keywords and URLs.

I also trust it's click-stream data for things such as monthly searched keyword volumes and click through rates.

The interface is easy to use and with additional features to search for content marketing ideas or to run side audits.

Ahrefs is definitely the best in my opinion. It’s a robust system that provides serious value for SEOs and agencies even without having to be on the best or most expensive plan.

The obvious things like super easy keyword research, rank tracking, and monitoring backlinks. I also like the simple display — checking out whether a website has good authority or not (say for media callouts) takes just one second. My favorite thing about Ahrefs though is Content Explorer. As a Lead Copywriter at Sonder Digital Marketing, I think it's so useful for content marketing and finding interesting content ideas, as well as judging how your content will perform.

The only area it loses points for me is in site audits, it still provides really valuable information in these areas but the User Experience can be a bit rough. The navigation through all of the data they provide could be improved — I really like SEMrush’s site audits.

It's important to be data-driven with any form marketing campaign - be it SEO or content. We use Ahrefs to help shape and structure our research, and to monitor trends. This includes keeping on top of competitor activity, as well as identifying gaps across keywords, ranking fluctuations and content themes. Without this, we wouldn't have "eyes" behind the successful work we do for our clients at Content Marketing.

As an Internet Marketing Director of Regex SEO, when it comes to SEO software, I look for several things - frequent updates of SERPs, quick initial SERP report after new keywords are uploaded, keyword research capabilities and backlink tracking. Ahrefs is great for backlink research, but all keyword tracking and research capabilities are not that good.
