Please introduce your product and give a brief about your role within the organization.
I am the CEO of Lumeer.io. We provide an online tool for companies to plan, track, and analyze their daily operations. Basically a project management tool with the main focus on the ability to track really anything. And with the requirements of being remote, the service is available from anywhere at any time.
What was the objective behind coming up with this software?
We realized that practically all companies, no matter how big they are, are heavily controlled by spreadsheets. People use spreadsheets for almost anything. Yet, it is a 40+ years old technology that is heavily error-prone. Nobody should bet their business on it. With nowadays computers, there must be a better way!
How is your software beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other software alternatives available in the market?
We created Lumeer to provide the full power of modern computers to citizen computer users. The user interface is simple, minimalistic, we use a lot of colors and icons to exercise visual memory and avoid too much reading on the screen. People can track and organize anything in Lumeer. Its limitless possibilities together with automation are a huge help to our clients.
What industries do you generally cater to? Which industries in general are highly benefiting by using your software?
We mostly serve companies who manufacture something. Those where every single project is similar to the previous one, but still very different. In addition to manufacturing, assembly, we also see interest from software companies, civil engineering and construction companies, high-tech products, professional services, marketing, media, retail, entertainment, industrial products...
What are the key features of your software that makes it stand apart from your competitor products in the market?
Practically all customers told us that they knew we are a flexible solution but they were always surprised how much this was true. Everybody appreciates the freedom to organize things their way, accommodate business growth, or the ability to add more agendas to the system. We do not prescribe any hard data structure. You build your own Lego® castle.
What is the customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
From Day 1, our development is purely customer request-based. We always listen to our users, see how to address their needs in a way that would benefit other users as well, and add new features. What clients love about us is that the added value we offer constantly increases over time.
Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what is the percentage of repeat customers that you have?
We are in business for 5+ years. Some customers from the very beginning are still with us. The churn rate we see is within the boundaries of our industry. So mostly, customers tend to stay with us. Especially when they see that we are able to address their additional requirements.
Does your software product provide any resource or knowledge section for its users? If yes, what kind of material is provided to your users to help them get acquainted with your product?
We have a help section on our website. In addition to that, we constantly produce blog posts, e-books, infographics, and other useful material. We also try to provide our clients a competitive advantage by informing them about new and upcoming innovations and how to get prepared for these.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
We support our clients via email and video conferencing. For the business plan, we offer free consulting hours. We also offer consulting and implementation services. For really demanding clients, we travel to visit them in person.
What has been the revenue for your product for 2020?
We are bootstrapped with no external funding. So in the terms of revenue, we cannot compete with our competition. We have healthy finance, we are self-sufficient, and over the years we see solid growth. We hope to be constantly biting a bigger piece of the pie.
Where do you see your product in the next 10 years?
We would like to build a complete ecosystem to drive everyday business operations. Just imagine that – you come to work, open your computer and there is just a single application running fullscreen where you find anything you need. All resources for your work, all tasks with the clarity of what to do, how to do it, why it matters, when it needs to be done. No more digging in emails, no more broken spreadsheets. Just a few clicks to get a clear overview and then fully focus on the creative part of your job.
