About FreeMED

FreeMED is an open-source electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management system that has been developed since 1999. Unlike proprietary EMRs, FreeMED is not limited by licensing fees or vendor lock-in, making it a cost-effective option for hospitals of all sizes.

One of FreeMED's most unique features is its ability to be translated into multiple languages. This allows hospitals to use the platform in a variety of settings, regardless of the language spoken by their patients. FreeMED is currently available in over 20 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Hindi, and Arabic.
