About CodeGeeX
CodeGeeX is a multilingual AI code generation model developed by the Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG) and the Data Mining Group at Tsinghua University. The project commenced in 2022, with significant milestones achieved throughout the year.
Key Milestones
June 2022: The initial version of CodeGeeX was trained on over 850 billion tokens across 23 programming languages using a cluster of 1,536 Ascend 910 AI processors.
September 2022: The team open-sourced the CodeGeeX model, including its codebase, model weights, API and IDE extensions, making it accessible to the broader developer community.
December 2022: CodeGeeX was integrated into popular development environments, including JetBrains IDEs and Visual Studio Code, enhancing its usability for developers.
July 2024: The release of CodeGeeX4-ALL-9B, an advanced version of the model, marked a significant upgrade.
