We EasypeopleSearch have been using Basecamp daily for the last 1 year. It has control over user permissions enables us to manage which data the client has access to and which is only visible internally and grants different team members access to different projects. Each user has control over how and when they receive different types of updates, and auto-check-ins keep everyone up to date. It simplifies task management and keeps the process running smoothly.

Our business Home Service Direct has been using Basecamp as our project management software for almost a year. It serves as a single place for all our projects and marketing campaigns. It helps us to allocate resources more effectively. It does an essential job of organizing, streamlining, and simplifying teamwork. We use this software daily for communication, task management, file management, and calendar management. One disadvantage of Basecamp is the cost. Plus, it doesn’t have a free version for businesses. However, all good things come with a price, so until we stumble upon a much better software than Basecamp, we’ll continue to use it.

Basecamp, a project management veteran, was founded in 2004 and has grown to a customer base of 3.5 million customers. The software claims its capacity to replace a variety of other paying monthly services, including Slack and Dropbox. While the program isn't often a comprehensive substitute, it does combine many of the functions of various tools into one system at EduRef. Scheduling and calendars are provided, as well as a real-time chat, private messaging, file storage, and more. A clean UI and powerful search capabilities make it simple to locate the task, image, or message you're looking for, and a robust reporting suite allows you to drill down as far as you need to. We at Jettproof have been using Basecamp since 2020 for its user-friendly interface. Basecamp is one of the best project planning software for remote teams.

At Mirror Coop, we tried Basecamp. Basecamp is pretty much a ProjectManagement tool that allows you to create To-do lists (create tasks and assign them) and schedule them into calendars so you can effectively supervise and manage several projects.It is also very fast and easy to use (There is an introduction video when you start using it).It allows communication, direct messaging, real-time group chats, and message board between the teams. It also allows for team collaboration and there is a file storage limit of up to 500GB which is pretty much.However, Basecamp is a bit pricey at $99 a month for a team as opposed to other remote working tools like Slack which even has a freemium plan. Also, while it offers great messaging tools, there is no video or audio communication option which can come in handy.Basecamp doesn’t offer time tracking and although you can add comments and notes to To-do lists, it doesn’t support subtasks. This means you have to generate a whole new To-Do list every time.

Pros: Easy to access all the files.

Cons: Limited data only available.

If you’re searching for a project management tool, you should look at basecamp. Basecamp is my favorite solution at Versandgigant (and we’ve tried a lot). It’s user-friendly and has everything you need. If you need a con it would be the integrations. I like to use integrate to forward emails to certain cards and boards. Basecamp recently launched a new personal plan which offers a free service for freelancers and smaller private projects.

As the owner of DailyPest and an entrepreneur with a hand in several on-going endeavors, I can really appreciate this question. I have several years of experience (thousands of hours) working with popular content management systems and major platforms.

In my humble opinion, If you have a heavy workload to track, with multiple employees involved in the process, Basecamp is excellent alternatives to endless shuffling cards from column to column and checking boxes on other software. That said, I find Basecamp the much more attractive and easier for use.

Pros: Ease of Use, Flexibility to create internal threads, cost-effective, mobile-friendly, a friendly text edit - Trix available.

Cons: For large projects - the communication might become scattered, There is no flexibility to create a thread that is only accessible by a few team members and not all.

Overall Experience: Quite satisfied so far, been using it for almost a decade now. However, still open to explore new softwares if they are user-friendly.
