We were looking to implement a new service means so we decided to go into transportation service, so as an IT consulting company we aim to provide excellent and easily accessible transport service to out customers. Scalacode developed a comprehensive booking system for our Transport chain, allowing customers to make bookings online. They designed a user-friendly system with real-time availability, integrated payment processing, and booking confirmation emails. They also provided a user admin panel for our staff to manage bookings and monitor occupancy.

The services they provided are broken down into three parts. The first part is taking a prototype for a deep dive design phase. They took a mockup app that I put together on iPhone with some user stories and product videos. We brought it all into a design workshop. We spent three days breaking down the app. We took it from a prototype to what it should be. We mapped all the user stories. Then, the team there took it further and helped us break down pretty much every click into a user story. We took it from about 20 screens to 100 screens in the app in terms of design. By the end of February, we had all the user stories and about 140 screens. They mapped every click and every button. We did a month of adding color. We moved from a gray wireframe down to the look and feel of the app in terms of color, font, etc. Once all that was done, the design phase was over and we moved into the architecture implementation. The final phase is the live support once the app is live.

We wanted to produce Mac software that could be installed on the latest operating system. Once installed, it would allow users to select or drag and drop PowerPoint files and for the software to optimize the files. The requirement included porting our underlying engine processing Windows code to be able to work on a Mac. The code was written in C++ but included many third-party libraries where alternative solutions needed to be sourced. Our specifications were clear on how we would like the application to look and behave and integrate seamlessly with Mac's finder tool. If executed correctly, we anticipate using this application to test whether a full-featured Mac application would be required or whether the Mac users did not need this type of application.

Scalacode has designed and developed my mobile app for iOS and Android. After signing the contract, I sent the team prototypes of my idea and vision for the app. Then, Scalacode started the development phase using React Native and Flutter, as well as Figma for design. The app is technically completed, and Scalacode is working on a couple of things. After launching the app, Scalacode will provide maintenance for a year.
