KIIS

Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) is one of the leading research companies in Ukraine, providing its clients with a full range of research solutions.

KIIS is a private Ukrainian company cooperating with the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. KIIS was founded in 1990 as a research center of the Sociological Association of Ukraine, and since 1992 has been transformed into a private enterprise. We were the first to introduce sociological standards in Ukraine. Our innovations in domestic sociological research were: the first manual and the first training of interviewers in 1992; first face-to-face interviews and focus groups in 1992; the first domestic software for statistical data analysis in 1990; the first sample development program in 1993.

KIIS is one of the leading research associations, in particular, the Sociological Association of Ukraine (ACS), the European Society for Public Opinion Research and Marketing (ESOMAR), AAPOR and WAPOR. Professor Volodymyr Paniotto, Director General of KIIS, was the first national representative of ESOMAR in Ukraine in 1996–2005.
