Euristiq

Euristiq built our identity-verification platform—now our main product—integrating Onfido (now Entrust) through APIs in Java and Golang, with Web and Mobile SDKs for iOS and Android. They translated Onfido's detailed verification reports into custom decisioning logic that matched our exact fraud and compliance requirements, all under our branding. For our R15 milestone, they migrated existing clients from our legacy product while preserving all functionality and architecting the system to easily onboard new providers and clients. The rollout happened with zero downtime despite active development elsewhere, and the platform has continued to scale smoothly. It's been a technically strong partnership from the start.

The goal of our project was quite small. Our goal was to understand what our product could look like and the overall cost to develop the MVP of our product. Euristiq delivered on our expectations 100%. We primarily used email and video conferencing. Their response on email is quick and we could accomplish our follow-up easily over email after our video calls.

The outcome of our work with Euristiq was outstanding. We look forward to welcoming them into further projects. Their team completed everything on time, communicated effectively, and went above and beyond. The love and passion they showed for their work was clear every step of the way.

The service launched and was able to meet SLAs/KPIs set out by us and our client. This included uptime, time to process new schedules, ability for tutors to find and book lessons and fill rate of those lessons (for tutors). They provided a PM an BA that was able to gather our requirements and communicate them to the engineers. They had QA team that were able to test solutions and demonstrate them back to us. More recently I was added as a tech lead from our company to work with the team. I have found the engineers are proactive and understand the requirements well. This means they are able to make intelligent choices during a task or project rather than do everything in the spec literally and without thought of the user experience.

There is a strong and consistent shift towards mobile apps usage especially among Gen Z’s and Younger Millennials, but our audience (demographically older) is still disproportionately spending their time on desktop/laptop devices as compared to the internet at large. Search investment has often prioritized desktop improvements over mobile that results in sub-par mobile products: Yahoo Search app # of active users, compared to ecosystem apps with users in the millions range. With a mobile-first strategy we tap into the primary platform where younger users already spend most of their time, allowing us to meet them where they are. Distribution - A mobile-first strategy opens up diverse distribution opportunities, not only through consumer-facing platforms like the App Store and Google Play, but also by leveraging strategic B2B partnerships. Project management was excellent, clear communication and goals, always available for support.

Many people used our product in a preliminary mode, which worked well. We're very pleased with the results. Throughout the process, Euristiq was genuinely reliable, produced superior work, and proactively sought to refine the end-user experience as much as possible, which increased the software’s competitive advantage. Euristiq understood our requirements quickly and provided some helpful insight about features that should be prioritized within the application. They covered the scope as agreed and kept to our schedule. Their communication was excellent and vital to the project’s success. The team adjusted their workflow to accommodate business hours in our time zone.

I met some of the Euristiq team in Calgary at the office of a mutual client. I was impressed with their knowledge and depth of experience. We needed Angular front-end developers for complex project we were working on and they were able to find us the developers that we needed. We have since added a senior full-stack developer to another project and are continued to be impressed with the developers. They are self-sufficient, follow direction well and the quality of the code is excellent.
