They did a lot of testing with more than 20–30 people, and the feedback was quite positive. People were truly engaged with the idea. There were bumps here and there, but we’re sincerely happy with the outcome. Everything has been great. They’re available 24/7. I had to get used to their availability and kindness. They were so awesome. They met the deadlines. If there was a delay, they told us and explained everything. We use email, Skype, and Basecamp.

Alty has done phenomenal work for us. They’re a very good company. They understood all our requirements and managed the execution and implementation very well. Right now, we just need to make the app slimmer due to the current market and the trajectory of our business model. A positive factor about working with Alty was the extensive set of features they were able to build. We’re only removing some now because the market moved into a different direction. Users don’t want too many features in one app. Most prefer having one functionality that works beautifully

Alty is a great mobile development team that works very fast. Moreover, the app is very successful; we raised $15 million last year. Alty usually delivers on time. We sometimes have delays, but those aren’t significant and are caused by requirement changes. Our communication is very good. We have almost daily Zoom calls and plan sprint cycles together. We also use Slack for communication and Jira for project management.

With whatever small stats i have so far, my average user is staying on the app for more than 2 hours everyday (which is a great start for a fitness and lifestyle app). From day 1, I was in constant touch with an account manager/project manager who was with me throughout the project lifecycle. This made it really easy for the Alty's team to understand my vision from a very early stage. I could communicate very easily with the PM who was in their LA office and he was always happen to serve me in the EST time zone as well. We primarily communicated through Slack and weekly phone calls.

Alty presented three companies' design flow, share their thought about their design. Knowing that they has some ideas about buying insurance online, we then identify which products that we should focus on. And we have identified Home Insurance is the first product. We explained the manual way of buying this product and he begins to design the journey. Alty challenged us by asking the need of each field and its meaning. they created mock screens and showed the whole user journey. We keep iterating the journey until it only requires few steps to complete the purchase. Users now know what to do without being overwhelmed by long forms and insurance words. Each field has an explanation and the user knows why we are asking the questions. Our app development team only start to code when we have signed off the user journey. This saves the team time and effort, as we exactly know the design, layout and process.
